Grand Opening Tomorrow!

We are so excited about Thursday's opening. We have a stellar lineup of performers for the evening as well as several good ales and ciders on tap. We start serving at 6pm and must close at 8. We'll be open for on Friday and Saturday as well, so stop in, say hi and play some games or join the Pub Quiz.

Cider of the Day - Robertson's Vintage Reserve Cider

Today we have something a little different. instead of a Beer of the Day, we have a Cider of the Day, L. Robertson & Co.'s Vintage Reserve Cider!

A strong, full flavoured cider with a fantastically smooth refined finish. This cider is aged in fresh casks brought from the rum distilleries of Antigua. The best cider we make each year is poured into these barrels and left for a minimum of 18months.

Beer of the Day - Dodd's Talbot Pride

Talbot Pride Best Bitter is our Beer of the Day, and will be on of the ales we will have on tap at the grand opening next Thursday.

This copper-coloured session bitter is packed full of flavour, particularly in the hop character. The aroma is overflowing with apricot and warm orange with a hint of caramel and peach coming through and a well-balanced lemony malt backbone, punctuated with pecans and banana. There’s some caramel and fruit from the malt and very light roast in the initial taste but this rapidly gives way to a dry straw, and slightly astringent but full flavour of sour milk and molasses.

Beer of the Day - Hellberg

Today's beer of the day is Hellberg's

Hellberg's, a traditional Pilsner is a well-proportioned bottom-fermented lager beer with a flavour of hops, grains, pine needles, sorrel and Danish summer apples. The bitterness of the hops and the apple-like sweetness provide a harmoniously balanced taste.

Beer of the Day - McCormack's Stout

The beer of the day for today is McCormack's Irish Stout.

This stout has a robust flavour with a full-bodied and smooth mouth feel. The roast flavours lead to a dry espresso like finish. A generous addition of fuggles hops lead to a tart bitterness which mingles with the roast espresso flavours on the tongue.

Beer of the Day - Lingen Lager

Lingen Premium Lager is the beer of the day here at the Trolley and Chips.

Lingen is a medium bodied, red hued colour, snow white head, refreshing lager with a crisp, dry finish. Using the finest ingredients: barley malt, yeast, hops, and water results in a Lager Lovers Delight! This Premium Lager is crafted with care to achieve an easy drinking well-balanced beer that is richly pleasing and distinctly different
